Things rarely go wrong on a job booked through ToolBox. When they do, work by a verified pro is backed by a discretionary contribution of up to R5 000, on top of your rights under the law.

What it is
A free, discretionary contribution toward the cost of putting sub-standard workmanship right, where you cannot get the tradesperson to fix it themselves. It is funded by us, out of the business, because a platform that verifies people should carry some of the cost when its verification was not enough.
How to claim
Talk to the tradesperson first if you can. If it is still not right, or they have stopped answering, tell us within 6 months of the work being completed, with the quote, proof of payment, photographs and what was agreed. We look, we decide fairly, and we contribute where the case is made out.
Your rights come first
The Guarantee is an extra layer of confidence. It is not insurance and not a warranty on the work, and it never replaces your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or against the tradesperson directly.
