What we promise
- The ToolBox Standard The seven commitments every verified tradesperson makes, and what each one means in practice.
- The ToolBox Guarantee If workmanship falls short and the tradesperson will not put it right, we may contribute up to R5 000 toward fixing it. For homeowners

- Accessibility What we do to make ToolBox usable by everyone, what we know still falls short, and how to get help if it does not work for you.
Rules of the platform
- Community Guidelines How people treat each other on ToolBox, in plain words: what we ask of everyone, what we do with a message that crosses a line, and where the line is.
- Acceptable use policy How everyone is expected to behave on ToolBox, and what is not allowed.
- Fair use policy The limits that keep ToolBox working for everyone: leads, messaging, storage and automation.
- Warnings, suspension and removal Why an account gets sanctioned, what each step means, how an investigation runs, and how to appeal. Applies to homeowners as well as tradespeople.
- Takedown notices How to tell us that content on ToolBox infringes your rights, in the form section 77 of ECTA requires, and what we do with it.

Your data
- Privacy policy What personal information we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the rights POPIA gives you.
- Who processes your information Every company that handles personal information on our behalf, what they do with it, and where.
- Cookies and tracking What we store on your device and in the app, what runs only with your consent, and how to change your mind.
- Security and responsible disclosure How we protect the platform, and how to tell us about a vulnerability without getting into trouble for finding it.
- PAIA manual and Information Officer Your right to request records from ToolBox under the Promotion of Access to Information Act, and how to do it.
- Acknowledgements The open source software, typefaces and place data ToolBox is built on, and the people who made them.
