How it works

From problem to fixed, in a few simple steps

ToolBox takes the guesswork out of finding someone reliable. Here is the whole journey, start to finish.

A homeowner in Durbanville smiles at the tradesperson on her doorstep, her phone in hand, as she greets the pro she booked.

  1. Tell us the job

Describe what needs doing and where. It takes a minute, and you can browse without an account.

  2. Get matched to verified pros

Every pro we show you has a verified phone, ID and address. Their profile shows each further check they have passed, like a background check or a trade registration, and ratings from real South African homeowners.

  3. Compare and hire

Message directly, compare quotes, and book the pro that fits. Then pay securely in the app through Paystack, straight to the pro. No pressure, and no commission added to your job.

  4. Back yourself

Work by a verified pro is backed by the ToolBox Guarantee: a discretionary contribution of up to R5 000 toward putting it right if the pro will not. How the Guarantee works

Peace of mind, built in

Every job with a verified pro is backed by the R5 000 Guarantee.

A discretionary contribution of up to R5 000 toward putting sub-standard work right when the pro will not. Tell us within 6 months of the job finishing. Not insurance. T's and C's apply.
